FAQs
What is the cost of Live Scrum?
- The unit and compressor are $9500 +GST.
- You will need a mat to scrum on unless you go with the trailer or tow bar options. POA for these.
Mat pricing is dependent on which option you choose. Contact us for more information
How much space is required for Live Scrum?
- An area of 5 x 5m is ideal but it can be smaller.
- The machine itself only takes up 1.5 x 1.2m.
The mat area can be used for alternative uses when the machine is not in use.
Is there any maintenance required?
- Please watch the video below. Â
- There is very little maintenance required on Live Scrum. As long as it is moving freely, and all bolts are tight it is good to go. Â
- Please ensure you check the Manual for the Compressor for specific instructions. Â
How much force does Live Scrum Create?
- At 6 Bar Live Scrum Creates 1 Tonne of pressure per Ram. This is dissipated due to the angle of the ram so we estimate at 6 Bar there is 1600KG of horizontal force, enough to test even the biggest packs. Â
Interesting Facts
Designed and engineered to withstand a horizontal force of 1600kg, with each Ram producing over 1 tonne of pressure, the Live Scrum – Scrum Machine is strong enough to take on the biggest packs in international rugby.Â
The machines enormous horizontal force creates 900kg of uplift at the front of the leg. This is stabilized with six ground anchor screws that have a hold down capability of 600kg per screw. Alternatively, chemical anchors can be permanently set into a concrete pad.Â
The most significant element of the Live Scrum – Scrum Machine is the patented Rail System, which in combination with the push back from the Pneumatic Rams creates instability, including a capacity for lateral movement, thus simulating an opposition scrum.Â
Pressure can be controlled, adjusted and gauged to expose player(s) strengths, discrepancies and measure improvement. This level of assessment makes it is easy to create a safe and powerful scrum.Â
